However when setting up your operation, there are a number of other costs that you should allow for. If you are going to maintain a full career from your home then you will need essential office space and supplies. You need to make sure you can actually run your business from your home; do you have a spare bedroom or finished basement where an office can be constructed? You will also need basic office equipment such as a computer with Internet connection, phone, fax lines, a desk and file cabinet.
Also, keep in mind when setting up a home based career, whatever you are selling, you are in a residential setting. Is this helpful or a hindrance for your business?
